Really unique place in a very quaint area surrounded by nature and mountains. The dish I had was vegan and very rich and refreshing. It’s a beautiful cozy cottage, the kind of place I wouldn’t mind spending my whole day.

Real hidden GEM. The whole soace is so serene, zen, and full of goodness in design, vibe, and food. Its a cafe / pottery / workshop type of place hidden in the countryside of Nagano. Their food is organic and locally sourced. The course will make your body feel good in terms of balance and flavor. The pottery and furniture sale is all handmade and local. The artist will also actually be there to talk to you. The staff were nice & you can even buy some local fruits, veggies, and canned foods in there. People also go to the teahouse section to just read magazines and walk around the green spaces outside!

Gallery cafe in a renovated traditional farmhouse Tosenbo is a lovely gallery cafe where you can enjoy a hot drink while browsing through the various works of local artists, which include pottery, wood and lacquer crafts. The location, a renovated farmhouse in the middle of a rural village, is fantastic and perfectly in line with the concept of the cafe which aims to promote a slow-pace genuine lifestyle in harmony with nature. The simple menu offers a light lunch with plenty of locally-grown vegetables, hand-made desserts and a selection of beverages (hot and cold). Everything is served in cups and plates made by the owner, who is a pottery craftsman himself.
